Starting to look for a 95-98 Cummins 12V. I have a 84 Crew cab Chevy waiting for a new heart. I decided it's too expensive to buy a new diesel and now having to smog them made it final.

I would like to find a complete truck so I can get everything I need.
can be 2 or 4wd. Going to go with a rebuilt nv4500 and a np205 mated to it.

Let me know if you have any leads.
Thanks
Ryan

There's a few on Craigslist:

http://modesto.craigslist.org/cto/1573519063.html

But I'm sure you've seen these if you're looking already. Good idea for a build, I have a foggy vision of doing something similar in my future. Good luck!

Trying to look for 95-98 years.  These are the 215hp 6bt's and have the P7100 injection pump.

thought about building a 4bt at all? might be cheaper, although I don't know if transmission would work at all, and you might have already looked into that. Just a thought Smiley

I was thinking of doing the 4BT in the Explorer, it will be a couple of years but I was inspired by a write up I saw where a guy had put one in a 75' (?) Bronco and was getting 25mpg with 400HP.  drive

Well. I actually did find one. I had to make the 3.5 hour trip to Vacaville for it. Its a 94 12valve for only $1500. It helped having a salveged title because the older man driving it drug the side against one of those post protecting gas pumps. With new tires too. will post up some pics.
You all will have to help me on this swap. Its got me a little worried i guess.

So is there a build thread coming?  I want to see this happen.  May get me encouraged to get a diesel in my Cruiser.

The 2F is the stock I6 engine that came in the Land Cruiser.  About 125 hp and 203 tq.  A real power house.

Sorry that was directed at cruiserfj45, cause he said he might get motivated to put a diesel in his cruiser. I just thought he could use a little more motivation.

So when/how is the build coming along Chevysmith?
